CHAD ERIC MURNANE, CSA is a New York-based Casting Director at Binder Casting and has worked on a myriad of theatre, television and film projects during his tenure with the company. His theatrical projects span the nation and include relationships with Broadway creative teams, as well as many prominent regional theatres (such as the Paper Mill Playhouse, Dallas Theater Center and the Hollywood Bowl) and national/international tours (including the first national Escape to Margaritaville and the Tony Award winning revival of The Color Purple). Prior to Binder, Chad worked bicoastally as a freelance CD, as well as in collaboration with Lisa Fields, Marc Hirschfeld, Barbara Fiorentino and April Webster. He is a proud supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, serving annually as their casting consultant.
Originally from Florida, he is a graduate of the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory and an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Academy. His training as a theatre performer informs his approach to casting and contributes to his warm and approachable demeanor in the audition room. Chad is committed to diverse and inclusive casting and has a passion for discovering and nurturing new talent. He believes in polished and provocative artists with strong training and is dedicated to bridging the gaps between the many sectors of his field. Good acting is universal, and Chad works hard to find performers who meld commercial viability with artistic integrity, thus eliminating the artificial boundaries between theatre, television and film.
Chad is a member of the Casting Society of America and is an Artios Award nominee for his work in theatre.
